"Yaramaika Hamamatsu" is a movement being promoted by the Hamamatsu Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the creation of a regional brand. Hamamatsu is home to a number of local products created out of "yaramaika," or a pioneering spirit. The city offers regional specialties using the unique features, resources, and characteristics of the land; superior manufactured goods hitherto not widely known; raw materials of surpassing quality; and regional products with a typical Hamamatsu appeal that utilizes the latest technology. The Hamamatsu Chamber of Commerce and Industry intends to develop these nationally renowned resources into the regional brand "Yaramaika Hamamatsu" and transmit it throughout the world.
